SED has rolled out new tools to help make the adjustment to the Common Core. You can access
www.engageny.org , has any number of great resources -- videos, curriculum guides, lesson plans -- to bring the Common Core to life in the classroom, including another tool in that tool box: Common Core Sample Questions.
New 3-8 Math and ELA Common Core Sample Questions have been posted on
EngageNY.org. The sample questions give a clear perspective on the skills and knowledge the Common Core will instill in students -- deep thinking, critical analysis, and creative problem-solving skills. The new sample items in ELA and Math, grades 3-8 can be found at
