Generally, there is no public participation at the Special Meetings of the Board of Education, unless a request is made to the Superintendent to be placed on the agenda six days prior to the meeting.  If, after posting of an agenda, a particular agenda item is of interest to the public, individuals wishing to address the Board of Education regarding that agenda item are required to request permission of the Superintendent of Schools to do so by 12 noon on the day of such special meeting.  In both instances, the Superintendent of Schools will inform the president of the Board of Education of all such requests.  The length of time allotted to petitioners' remarks will be at the discretion of the Board of Education.

Special Meetings of the Glen Cove Board of Education begin at 8:00 p.m. and are held in the High School library. Although residents may attend all Special Meetings, there will be no public attendance at any Executive Session.
