Greetings From the Superintendent
December 2012
Dear Colleagues and Parents:
During the year, in the rush of events, we tend sometimes to overlook the important friendships and relationships that are the strong foundation of our educational mission. One of the great pleasures of the holiday season is the opportunity to exchange cordial greetings with those whose friendship and good will I value so highly. In this spirit, it is my pleasure to say “thank you” and extend sincere appreciation for the warm collegiality we enjoy. I also wish to thank you for all the good you do for children.
From my heart to yours, I extend warmest holiday wishes. May strength and courage abundant be given to all of you who work for a school-community of reason and understanding. May the good that lies in each of our hearts – day by day – be magnified. May we come to see more clearly not that which divides us but that which unites us. May each hour of each day bring us closer to a final victory – not of person over person – but of ourselves over our own faults and weaknesses. May the true spirit of this holiday season – its joy, its beauty, its hope, its faith, and above all, its love – live among us. May the blessings of peace be ours – the peace to build and grow, to live in harmony and compassion with others and to plan for the future with confidence.
May the glad tidings of the holiday season fill your heart with joy and may the New Year be bright and bring you contentment, happiness and inner peace. May those blessings remain with you and your family throughout the New Year.
Seasons greetings and best wishes.
Sincerely,
Joseph A. Laria, Ph.D.

OUR HOLIDAY GIFT TO CHILDREN
“If we work marble, it will perish; if we work upon brass, time will efface it; if we rear temples, they will crumble into dust; but, if we work upon immortal minds and instill into them just principles, we are then engraving upon tablets which no time will efface, but will brighten and brighten to all eternity.”
