Virtual Worlds Club

Virtual Worlds Club is a program focused in an online science museum. This museum exists only in Cyberspace and is based on multi-user 3D virtual chat world technology. In this fun and safe game environment students express themselves creatively while learning current informational technologies and skills.

Drama Club

Students rehearse singing, dancing, and acting skills in order to produce a Broadway Musical for an audience in the Spring. Students interested in this club as a performer or backstage participant must sign up and audition. A schedule of dates and times will be created and distributed to the students. Open to all students.

Homework Club 2

2nd Semester
This is an afterschool program that was instituted to aid students who may need assistance in one or more subjects in school. Middle School students also act as helpers to assist fellow students. Open to all students.

National Jr. Honor Society, Criterior For Selection Of Candidates For Membership ...read

Meets Tuesdays 2:45 - 3:45.
Members have been preselected based on academic achievement; character, service to school and community, and leadership ability. The National Jr. Honor Society will develop and implement community/school service projects. Individual service projects will be monitored.

SADD
Ms. C. Rassiger
Meets Mondays from 2:45 to 3:45.
The Students against Destructive Decisions Club's mission is a peer leadership organization dedicated to preventing destructive decisions, particularly underage drinking, other drug use, teen violence, bullying and teen depression and suicide. SADD is an inclusive club that recognizes the pressures on young people to drink, use illicit drugs and engage in other unhealthy behaviors are strong. The aim of this club is to inform, educate, support and empower young people to make positive decisions in their lives. SADD club members are actively involved in planning and implementing our BIONIC week program. Open to all students.

Science Club
Mr. J. Eisele
Members discuss and explore topics in physical, life, and chemical sciences with an emphasis on problem solving. Open to all students.

The club meets in room 117 on Thursdays from 2:45-3:45.

Students are dismissed through the horseshoe.

Student Council
Ms. C. Rassiger
This club is a service-learning endeavor. It provides an opportunity for a cross section of students to learn and implement leadership skills. Students learn to work collaboratively in their outreach work. The club plans and conducts various fund raising activities to help the Adopt-A-Family Holiday program. Additionally, the club members are involved in community projects and work collaboratively in service learning projects. An offshoot of this club is the Finley Ambassador group; students are trained to work with the BOCES students and commit themselves to serving this population by giving up at least one lunch hour per week. Student Council members serve as positive role models for the student body. Open to all students.

Technology Club

Meets Thursdays 2:45 - 3:45.
Students will have the opportunity to work with and create projects using simple tools. Each student will be given the opportunity to work in a safe and healthy environment, while learning how to use relevant technologies. Open to all students.

Theater Production

Students will learn layout design, publishing, photography, and assist in the creation of the school's yearbook. Open to all students.

The club meets in Room 207 on every Monday  from 2:45-3:45.

Students are dismissed through the horseshoe doors.
